Hey guys! Today's video is a 'hot or not' review on a Snappy Towel!
Snappy Towels did send me this towel, but they are not sponsoring this video and I'm going to always give you guys my honest review, even if someone sends me something.
First off, I LOVE THIS TOWEL! Like, capital L-O-V-E, a million exclamation points, underlined, bolded, love it.
I didn't think I would like this as much as I do because the material is sort of like a chamois (swim shammy) and I really don't like chamois. I've tried one before, one of the Speedo ones that comes in a little tube, and I didn't like it at all.
But this one is also soft like a towel, so it's like a mix of both together, and it's really awesome!
This comes in pink, red, blue and orange, and it's about $35. Make sure to check the description box below for a link for this exact towel.
Let's dive into why I love this towel so much:
Since this is sort of like a chamois (aka swim shammy) it absorbs way more water than a normal towel would. I had a pre-lims finals meet last weekend and I used this all through pre-lims, wadded it in my bag in a little wad with my racing suit inside of it to dry it a little bit. Then at finals I took it out of my bag and I used it all through finals and it was still pretty dry.
So, I used it, I wadded it up with a wet suit in it, and then I used it for finals and it dried me off through the entire thing. This is a really great towel for that.
It does bleed when you wash it**. Not a big deal for me as I just washed it with some other meet towels that I have. But it did turn the white trim a little pink. You might not want to wash it with white socks.
This towel is called a Snappy Towel for a reason. It has a bunch of little snaps all around the towel so you can basically wear it in any way that you want.
You can wear it as a long cape. At the meet I was at there was a long hallway to the locker rooms so I put it on as a cape with my friend and went running down the hallway with the cape flowing in the wind behind me. So you can wear it like that if you just want to be weird.
You can also wear it as kind of a small cape-type top (poncho), which I liked doing after my races when I was wet.
And also when I put on my racing suits because it keeps you warm and covered while you're putting on your suit, which is pretty convenient because a lot of times when I'm changing I'll have a towel over my shoulders and it will keep slipping off because it's not snapped. But with this one just snap it in front and it stays on.
It can also be used as a skirt, which is my absolute favorite. It took me a lot of tries to figure out how to make it a skirt. I had some of my friends help me, and then we finally figured it out and it was like perfect. It fit me perfectly and I walked around the whole pool deck through the whole meet with my skirt on like :).
It can also be used as a body cover when you just put it underneath your arms. Now this didn't fit me. I tried using it with the snaps on the edges of the towel: too big. The snaps in the middle of the towel made it too small. So it really depends on your body size, the different types of things you can do with it. So if you're a little bit bigger or smaller it might work for you to do that. Also if you're a little bit bigger or smaller than me the skirt might not work for you.
I kind of wish it had a few more snaps, because it only has them on the edges and at the middle in four spots. So maybe they could put one in between so you have a little bit more options. I think if they put snaps right there, the body cover one would probably fit me.
If you snap the top two snaps together it can actually slide over a beach chair. Which can be really cool, because I know I always like to lay out a towel on a beach chair, but it always falls off while I'm sitting on it. So this one can slide over like a little chair cover and then it will stay on and it won't fall off, which I am so doing on my upcoming vacation! I'm so excited!
This towel is thin enough--it's not as thick and bulky as a usual towel--that I can use it really well for a hair turban. So, this worked really well for that. I wore it all the time. Usually at meets I won't even put my hair in a hair wrap because it just falls off because I usually bring really big towels to meets. So this one works really well for that.
Since it is so small and thin, and it can roll up really small, it fits really well in your bag without making it too bulky and heavy, which is really great because usually my bags when I go to swim meets are giant and heavy and they push down on my shoulders and it's probably not the best thing to do before a swim meet.
Also, since I love this so much, of course my sister loved this too. She kept trying to steal it from me before our races!
If you guys haven't guessed already, this is definitely a hot item. The links to this exact towel are in the description so please go check it out.
I will totally keep using this at meets. I've already used it at two different meets and I love it. I'm going to use it at the meet I have this weekend.
Let me know in the comments if you've tried one of these and found some other ways to use it. Thank you so much for watching this video. Please give it a thumbs up if you enjoyed this review, and subscribe to see my next video. Bye!

**Note, towels are cold water wash only and can be disinfected if necessary by soaking in vinegar if needed. As with any intensely colored garment, some color may run if washed in very hot water.
